The Adolf L. Gundersen, MD, Health Sciences Library, an integral part of Gundersen Lutheran for more than 40 years and the second largest hospital library in the state, houses a collection of 650 journal titles and 2,500 textbooks. The Gundersen Lutheran Health Resource Libraries (John and Nettie Mooney Health Resource Center Library, John and Nettie Mooney Health Resource Center-East, Stanek Cancer Resource Library and John and Nettie Mooney Health Resource Center-Onalaska Clinic) provide patients, community and staff with quality consumer health information.
Books located in the Adolf L. Gundersen, MD, Health Sciences Library are available for checkout to Gundersen Lutheran staff and employees only. The public is welcome to use books and journals in the Health Sciences Library. In the library catalog, books located in the Health Sciences Library are labeled: "Location: Medical Library." Photocopying and printing from the computers is available for 10 cents per page. Journals are not available for checkout to Gundersen Lutheran staff, employees or the public.
The Gundersen Lutheran Health Resource Libraries are open and free to the public and Gundersen Lutheran staff and employees. Books located in the Gundersen Lutheran Health Resource Libraries are available for checkout to the public and Gundersen Lutheran staff and employees. In the library catalog, books located in the Gundersen Lutheran Health Resource Libraries are labeled: "Location: Mooney HRC", "Location: Mooney HRC-East", "Location: Stanek Cancer Libr." and "Mooney HRC Onalaska" Photocopying of health information is complimentary for patients, patients' families and community members in these libraries.
